Important Information
for Antifreeze Technicians

This vehicle is protected by the newest, most innovative antifreeze technology on the market.

It’s a poly organic antifreeze (OAT). It is formulated to protect light duty and heavy duty engines and contains no nitrites or molybdates.

It is especially effective for today's demanding European applications. Meets compatibility requirements for all Japanese manufacturers.

 

With proper maintenance, it's good for 600,000 miles or 12,000 miles or 6 years.

System must be maintained full with a nitrite-free Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolant.
Be sure color is bright and clear, not cloudy.
Check for "fall out" or precipitate.
Be sure pH is above 6.5.
Ensure freeze point is approximately -34°F on a refractometer (never use "floaty ball" or other types of hydrometers).

If the coolant fails any of the above tests, replace coolant with a nitrite-free OAT antifreeze. (Note that an antifreeze containing nitrite can damage cooling system components.)

 NOTE

PLEASE NOTE that many OEs have slightly altered the names of the new, nitrite-free coolants. (For example: Fleetguard ES Complete has nitrites while Fleetguard ES Complete OAT has NO nitrites.)

 

DO NOT Add CAT antifreeze.

 

In order to protect the aluminum: DO NOT add nitrites!
